We don’t expect you to be a construction expert. We take the time to explain each step of the process and help you make the right decisions with the right team of people.

The team you need depends on the type of house you want to build. Your project may not require an architect, interior designer and/or landscape architect. But if you do, we help you interview the right professionals to get the best fit and outcome.

For example, in our experience, three factors typically go into choosing the right architect:

• Past work: Has the architect designed many homes in your style and price range? For example, if you want a prairie-style home, has the architect designed many prairie-style homes?
• Fee structure: How much does the architect charge for the expected services?
• Personality: Designing a home is an intimate experience. Can you see yourself working with this person?

If you decide to work with an architect, you contract directly with him or her so you have complete ownership of the work. To keep your project on time and budget, we will attend all design meetings with you.
